New Start and Farmers Wife Quilt Blocks

Well I don't know what has happened to my blog, all my posts have seemed to of disappeared and I can very rarely comment on posts. Oh well, a new year means a new start.

I have had half yards of Denyse Schmidt fabric for quiet awhile and not knowing what to make with it, they found a home in a nice hat box, then I stumbled across a flicker group called the Farmers Wife Quilt Along and I knew the fabric would look great in this quilt.

So I have made a block a day and as I am hand piecing this quilt I make sure that I have the next block cut out the night before and ready to stitch the next day. Just to keep the momenteum going so here are my blocks I have made so far. 8 down 103 to go.

And on another note while we were on holidays and passing through Sydney on the way home to Queensland we just had to go and make a visit to Adriano Zumbo's patisseries and here are some pictures. We had such a lovely time and it was so easy to spend $300 at his shops.

The Chocolate Lolly Box cake was too die for
and his world famous Macarons they were so good, I have no words for them.

Until next time.

  2. Your fabrics are perfect for the Farmer's Wife--the blocks look so great together! (I've never had (or seen) a Macaron, but would surely like to try one someday)
